While watching an episode (episode 3 season 1) "History of the Home" they were discussing how Virginia Wolf liked to have a room outside of the house where she could write in peace. I did a little reading about her.... She had an open marriage with her husband, had romantic relationships with woman and suffered from bipolar disorder, which ultimately took her life at the age of 59. Her husband, who was only two years older than Virginia, lived another 28 years.

Many of her statements and essays would be offensive today...
