I learned a few things I didn’t know about my former employer…. pretty neat. I miss their benefits….. I worked part time, split shift and had health insurance. I actually got money added back to my check each week because I opted out.. We were given flex credits. Fast forward, now that I’m independent, health insurance is a chore to get, understand and even keep. Plus it’s very expensive.
UPS always seemed like an incubator for small businesses and entreprenuers…. at least when I was there. Several of the people I worked with had side hustles. The two managers at my center had a motorcycle dealership and vision center business, selling eye glasses, etc.
Anyway, this was very interesting.
